Ganbatte Shadowing 1.1.8

This is a Japanese shadowing application designed to assist learners in enhancing their pronunciation skills.

Featuring a distinctive function that visually represents the intonation patterns of both the model and the learners in the form of a high-to-low pitch accent curve and waveform, this application facilitates a straightforward comparison of pronunciation accuracy. Moreover, users can listen to both the model speakers and their own utterances.

The application is divided into three main stages:

1. Introduction:

   Here, users are introduced to various subtypes of shadowing that concentrate on different aspects such as pronunciation techniques, text content, and contextual meanings. This section offers a comprehensive overview of all shadowing types through text formats and videos, making it ideal for beginners.

2. Tasks:
   • Learners can select tasks from three proficiency levels: Basic & Elementary, Intermediate, and Advanced.
   • Adjustable parameters for selected practice modes include:
     • Show or hide the script
     • Choose between normal speed and 0.7x playback speed
     • Select segmented playback with script display by punctuation or listen to the natural flow of speech
3. My Portfolio:

   Recordings of learners’ utterances are stored along with metadata such as timestamp, date, and selected shadowing type. Users can easily track their pronunciation progress by comparing current and past recordings.
